Martinique is 21 miles to the north and St. Vincent
26 miles to the south.
St.
Lucia is 27 miles long and 14 miles across at the widest
point. The capital is Castries. The major centres of
tourist activity are located from Castries to Gros Islet
in the north, including the Rodney Bay area, and the
Soufriere region in the south. Magnificent scenery and
